Dentist
Shana Atassi, DDS
Dr. Atassi grew up in Houston and graduated from Memorial High School. She attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Following completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Atassi attended the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000. While at the University of Texas, she was active in her role as Class Vice-President all four years. She continued her dedication in serving organized dentistry by volunteering in various roles in the Capital Area Dental Society after dental school and is the proud recipient of the Capital Area Dental Society’s 2006 New Dentist of the Year Award. Dr. Atassi is currently involved in the following organizations: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Impact Austin Study Club, and Texas A&M University Association of Former Students.

Dr. Atassi moved to Austin in 2002. She and her husband, Jeff, enjoy the new adventures in parenting with their son Owen and daughter Audrey. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and devotes all her spare time to entertaining the kids at the soccer fields.

Jessica Heggen, DDS
Dr. Heggen was raised in Austin, TX and attended Anderson High School. She received her BA in biology at Texas Christian University, graduating with Honors. Dr. Heggen then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Cum Laude with Honors in Research in 2005. While in dental training in San Antonio, she was very active in her roles as Vice President, Historian, and Dental Class Secretary. Additionally, Dr. Heggen received an Academic Achievement Scholarship, was a finalist for the James P. Vernetti Award for Excellence in Operative Dentistry, and was recognized for her research in pain perception, receiving awards in Hawaii, Baltimore and San Antonio. Dr. Heggen is a member of several organizations which include: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Impact Austin Study Club.

Dr. Heggen worked as a dentist near Dallas, TX for 5 years and then San Diego, CA for 1 year prior to moving back to Austin in 2012. She loves being back home in Austin and enjoys sharing, discovering and experiencing all the old and new Austin “treasures” with her husband, Hilton and their two children, Chance and Ella.

Jacquelyn Vo, DDS
Dr. Vo was born in upstate New York, but raised as a Texan in Dallas. She returned to New York to complete her undergraduate studies at Columbia College in New York City and then came home to Dallas again to pursue her love of dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2003 and was the recipient of the General Dentist Award at graduation. In May of 2008, Dr. Vo was the proud recipient of the Capital Area Dental Society 2008 New Dentist of the Year Award and the 2008 James R. Fricke, Jr. Mentoring Award. She is an active member in the community and devotes hundreds of hours in seminars, study clubs, and other continuing education courses in order to stay current on advances in the field. Dr. Vo is involved with several organizations including: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, Capital Area Dental Foundation, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Smiles Foundation, Kois Center, Columbia University Alumni Association, and Impact Austin Study Club.

Dr. Vo worked in Dallas for three years before moving to Austin in 2005 with her husband Jeff. They enjoy reading, swimming, golf, gourmet cooking, and hiking with their dog Lucy. Dr. Vo is a mom to two beautiful girls–Kaitlyn and Madelyn and always has new stories to share!

Jackie
Jackie was born in Texas and has been in Austin since 2000. She has been in the dental/orthodontic field since 2002. Jackie is an artist and an avid power boating enthusiast. When she is not working on her unique art projects she and her husband participate in a variety of regional and international boating club events and get-togethers with family and friends.
Assistant Manager
Megan
Megan moved to Austin this past summer from Memphis,TN with her husband and 2 children. She has worked in the medical field for over 10 years as a medical assistant in OB/GYN health and dermatology. Megan is enjoying her transition into the dental field and learning more about healthy smiles. This fall she will attend Concordia University to finish her bachelors in nursing. She loves to bargain shop, take her kids to the park and attend church on Sundays.

 

 

Dental Hygienist
Tami
Tami is an expert at hygiene duties such as cleanings, x-rays, periodontal treatment, fluoride treatments, and sealant placement. She grew up in Yoakum, TX and has a degree in dental hygiene from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been in the dental field for more than 18 years and still loves interacting with new people every day. When she is not in the office, Tami enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family — especially with her babies.

Claudia
Claudia is a native Texan with over 10 years experience as a dental hygienist. She helps with cleanings, x-rays, sealants, fluoride treatments, as well as personal dental health planning. She takes interest in her patients and truly enjoys what she does. She previously lived in San Antonio and became a Spurs fan. In her time away from the office she enjoys reading, live music and spending time with her family.

Cathy
Cathy grew up in Dallas but now calls Austin home. She is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry and has worked in the dental field over 10 years. She prides herself in staying current with the latest trends and technology in dental hygiene and loves getting to know her patients while making them feel comfortable and at ease in the chair. Outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family and being a local “foodie.”

Kelly
Kelly grew up in San Diego where she graduated with a degree in Food and Nutrition. She uses this degree along with her dental hygiene knowledge to provide well rounded care to her patients. Patient education is high priority. Austin is her home of 8 years now, where she spends her time with family and friends. She enjoys getting out around town experiencing the lakes and parks, live music and restaurants throughout the city.

Sashaa
The youngest of 3 sisters, Sashaa was born in Panama and moved to Texas when she was 7 years old. She is also bilingual and has been a great addition to helping our Spanish speaking patients. Some of her hobbies include painting, traveling, reading and learning about different cultures. If you listen carefully, you might hear her singing her way around the office.

Essie
Essie is a native Texan from Amarillo, but has been living in Austin since 1991. She has been a dental assistant since 2003 and enjoys interacting with each patient and strives to make each patient feel welcomed and comfortable. Aside from work, she keeps busy with her 3 teenagers. Her hobbies include listening to live music, taking road trips and enjoying nature.

Kori was born and raised in the city of New Orleans. In 2005,  she moved to Austin along with her three children after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Kori has been in the dental profession for over 20 years. She loves to see the smile on people’s faces when they see their new smile. Her hobbies include cooking , going to music events, arts and crafts and watching the New Orleans Saints play football!

Tawney
Tawney was born in northern California and moved to Austin when she was 13. She is the oldest of 3 siblings who all happen to live in different states. She is the proud mother of two little girls Kaiya and Kinsley. She also has two puppies named Lexi and Lola. She could easily live on a boat on the lake for the rest of her life. She loves exploring new places, especially great food spots. She loves being an Austinite, being outdoors, live music, chips & queso and great company.
