Dr. Shailee Gupta

Dr. Gupta has brought a spirited and loving energy to the practice! She has experience in a variety of dental backgrounds with over 20 years of experience in both public health and dentistry. Her compassionate approach, gentle chairside manner, and ability to help even the most nervous patients feel at ease make her a wonderful fit for our patients. Dr. Gupta believes in building a comfortable, trusting relationship with each patient, making each visit a truly personalized experience. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence reflect the values our practice has upheld for many years.

Outside the office, Dr. Gupta enjoys the company of family and friends, especially when traveling, trying out new restaurants in Austin, reading best-selling books and watching sports!

About Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch (now UT Health Houston School of Dentistry) in 2002. She wanted to learn more about public health and pursued her Masters in Public Health from Creighton University in 2016.

She believes in supporting the profession of dentistry and enjoys volunteering her time serving on the Board of the Capital Area Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation and the Texas Oral Health Coalition. She is currently the Chair for the National Oral Health Literacy Alliance for the American Dental Association. Dr. Gupta is also a fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy, The International College of Dentists and The American College of Dentists. A memorable moment for her was when she was a nominee for an Austin Under 40 Award in 2015…the first dentist to be nominated under the category of Healthcare, Science and Technology!

Dr. Gupta and her husband have two children. Her daughter is a sophomore at UT majoring in Public Relations at the Moody College of Communications and her son is a sophomore in high school and enjoys being on the tennis team!

I’ve always wanted to write and recently was asked to be Editor for our local dental society newsletter! I’ve enjoyed stretching that creative muscle!
Chocolatier

I love chocolate (in moderation of course!) and have dived into making my own, trying out fun molds and gifting to friends and family…especially around the holidays!
Sports Junkie

Growing up with two brothers, I have always enjoyed watching sports, especially football! Recently, I’ve become a fan of college softball and baseball and miss watching my kids play!
Wine and Books

I joined a book club a few years ago and was happy to re-engage in reading and enjoying a nice glass of wine…I’m not a connoisseur by any means though!
Outside of work

"Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and our sweet dog and fitness-I’m a regular at our local F45 gym and appreciate the strength gained and commitment to my health!
